Cracking IBPS Clerk gets you a clerical-cadre position at any of 11 PSBs — Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Canara Bank, Indian Bank, Punjab National Bank, UCO Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, Central Bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, and Union Bank of India. The exam runs in two stages: a one-hour Preliminary screening and a 160-minute Mains paper. There is NO Personal Interview. Mains marks alone determine final selection, with cutoffs declared separately per state and per category.
IBPS Clerk recruitment runs as a two-stage online process: a one-hour Preliminary exam worth 100 marks used only for shortlisting, and a 160-minute Mains paper worth 200 marks that determines final merit. There is NO Personal Interview round and NO descriptive paper. Sectional timing applies to both stages — time saved in one section cannot be carried into another. State-wise cutoffs are released separately for each participating state. Clearing each section's qualifying minimum is mandatory for your aggregate to be considered. Negative marking of 0.25 per wrong answer applies in both stages.
