1. Who we are

TestNeeti ("we", "our", or "us") operates the website https://testneeti.in and provides online mock tests, current affairs content, and exam preparation tools to candidates preparing for Indian government recruitment examinations. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we use it.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information necessary to deliver our service:

  • Account information — name, email address, mobile number (when you register or sign in via Google).
  • Profile information — the exams you target, your preferred language, and other preferences you set in your profile.
  • Test attempt data — your answers, time spent per question, scores, and analytics required to show you performance reports.
  • Payment information — billing details necessary to process subscription payments. Card numbers and UPI credentials are handled directly by our payment partners and are not stored on our servers.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, and pages visited. Used for security, analytics, and to debug issues.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — for authentication, session management, and basic analytics. See section 6.

3. How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To deliver tests, score them, and show you analytics.
  • To process payments, send invoices, and manage your subscriptions.
  • To send you transactional email and notifications (test reminders, password resets, payment receipts). You can opt out of marketing email at any time.
  • To improve our content, our user experience, and to detect abuse, fraud, or violations of our terms.
  • To comply with applicable Indian law and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

4. Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers strictly necessary to operate the platform — for example our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services), our analytics provider (Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled), our authentication provider (Google Identity), and our payment gateway. Each of these providers is bound by their own privacy obligations.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain financial records (such as invoices) under Indian tax law.

6. Cookies

We use first-party cookies for authentication (httpOnly session cookies) and a small set of preference cookies. We use Google Analytics with IP-anonymised tracking to understand aggregate usage. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear cookies at any time from your browser settings — doing so will sign you out.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data through your profile page.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.
  • Receive an export of your test attempt history on request.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at [email protected].

8. Children's privacy

TestNeeti is intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has registered with us, contact us and we will delete the account.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including TLS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, httpOnly session cookies, and regular security reviews. No internet service can guarantee absolute security; if you suspect unauthorised access to your account, change your password and contact us immediately.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always available at /privacy. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice in the app.
