SBI PO recruitment has three phases: a 100-mark Preliminary screening test, a 230-mark Main examination (200 objective + 30 descriptive), and Phase III comprising a psychometric test, group exercise, and interview. Preliminary marks are not counted in final merit. Main examination marks and Group Exercise/Interview marks are normalized in a 75:25 ratio.
The official 2026-27 process has a 100-mark Preliminary examination, a 230-mark Main examination, and Phase III. Prelims uses separate 20-minute section timers and has no sectional cutoff. Mains has four separately timed objective sections plus a 30-minute descriptive paper. Main and Phase III scores are normalized to 75 and 25 marks respectively for final selection.
