Pakistan will host the 14th South Asian Games — officially the XIV South Asian Games — from 23 to 31 March 2027, with events across Lahore, Islamabad and Faisalabad. More than 3,500 athletes from eight South Asian nations are expected to compete in about 27 sports. Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar framed the long-delayed Games as part of an effort to revitalise the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC).
