Japan's space agency JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) said its prototype reusable rocket, the Reusable Vehicle eXperiment (RV-X), successfully completed its first lift-off and landing test on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the Noshiro Rocket Testing Center in northern Japan. The test marks a step forward in the cost-cutting reusable-launch technology currently dominated by SpaceX.
