The Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) of the Ministry of Finance has launched an initiative to conduct factory visits for ground-level inputs ahead of Budget 2026-27 planning. Senior DEA officials will visit large, medium and small manufacturing units, as well as externally aided projects, to assess operational and policy challenges across sectors. The Union Finance Minister is Nirmala Sitharaman.
